SUPERCHARGERS.

TRANSFORMATION OF SMALL CAR. Latest advices from England state that considerable interest attaches to the introduction of superchargers, which can be fitted to standard sport or touring cars, and it seems more than likely that the supercharger will find a place next year on a number of sports model cars. Many car-owners will be tempted to invest in a supercharger, which at one fell swoop transforms an ordinary small touring car into the equivalent of a super sports model. It, however, remains to be seen whether the ordinary designed engine will stand up to the high rate per mile which will be obtainable with a supercharger.
