It is rumoured in the Stratford that Mr. E. 'Walter,■ M.P., Will not be a candidate for the Stratford seat at the General Election, and that Mr. J. B. Hire is a probable candidate (says the Eltham Argus). It is further stated that Mr. R. Masters, who formerly held the seat as a Liberal, will not contest the seat tut that Mr. N. H.
