MEMORIAL PARK.

MEETING OF TRUSTEES. The Memorial Park trustees met on Thursday, when the following members were present : Messrs. A. C. Thompson (chairman), T. F. Snell, G. G. Griffiths and J. S. Reid (hon. secretary). A letter was received from the bowling section with regard to the prohibition of cars in the park and asking the trustees to try and arrange a parking area. Mr. Thompson reported that Mr. Bent had kindly promised to allow his paddock opposite to be used, and this offer was received with thanks. After a discussion on finance it was decided that the chairman interview the caretaker, with power to act, with a view to reducing expenses in this direction during April. Mr. Snell suggested that a wind-up social be held, and it was decided to organise a committee for the purpose. The reduction of subscriptions as recommended by sections was approved and various suggestions for next season were put forward.
