PUTARURU STATION.

VISIT OP ENGINEERS. Mr. J. K. Lowe, district railway engineer, was in the Putaruru district on Monday and Tuesday, on his annual tour of inspection. In conversation with a representative of the Press, he stated that Mr. Hockly had arranged with his department for Mr. Lang’oein, assistant engineer, to be in Putaruru on January 30, to go thoroughly into various matters, such as improvements to the stock yards and the entrance and beautifying of the station. As Mr. Hockly has another local engagement in the afternoon, in all probability arrangements will be made for deputations to meet Mr. Langbein in the morning.
