TOKOROA RABBIT BOARD.
ORDINARY MEETING. A meeting- of the Tokoroa Rabbit Board was held on Monday, December 20, when the following members were present : Messrs. L. J. G. Hamilton (chairman), J. Campbell, A. Sloper, D. Carr Rollett and E. W. R. Leslie. Mr. J. R. O. Lochhead was also in attendance. NEW MEMBER. The returning officer (Mr. J. R. O. Lochhead) reported that only one nomination had been received for the vacancy caused through the resignation of Mr. A. D. Cairns, and that Mr. E. W. R. Leslie was thus returned unopposed. The chairman welcomed Mr. Leslie to the hoard, and the new member responded in suitable terms. FINANCIAL. The treasurer repoi-ted that £45 2s lOd had been paid in wages for the past month, and that the credit balance stood at £56 5s 6d. COMPLAINTS" Strong complaints were made on account of rabbits entering the board’s district from the back Waotu road, and on the Tokoroa road near Brooklands, and it was decided to communicate with the inspector at Cambridge in regard to the matter.
