“ Anchor Farm,” Mr. M. Shaw’s well-known up-to-date property, has been' disposed of to Mr. Death, of Papatoetoe. Mr. Shaw has shown con : siderable enterprise in dairy farming, bringing- his holding- up to be one of the most productive in the district : in fact, it is reckoned to be one of the three best in the Waikato. Mr. Shaw was responsible for the revivifying of the Matamata Jersey Breeders’ Club, of which he is president, and it was due to his and other enthusiasts’ efforts that the Jersey entries at the last A. and P. Show’were so numerous. He was associated with other public activities in the district, and his initiative and shrewd practical suggestions were often responsible for constructive action being taken.
