AGRICULTURAL RETURNS.

RECORD NUMBER OF CATTLE. Often it is necessary to throw k cow or bull in order that some little operation may be performed upon them. The procedure is simple. Get a rope about 35ft. long. Tie in a loop around the horns and bring the rope back along the neck and withers. Take a half-hitch round the body with the knot above the withers. Then take the half-hitch round tho body just in front rope back to tho loins and take another of the udder underneath. Take up all the slack, and see the rope is running freely. Tie up tho head of the cow with a fairly long rope to a post, or get a mkn to hold it, and pull on the free end of the throwing rope directly backward in a line with the head, withers and tail. The cow generally sinks gracefully to the ground.
