JAZZ PARTI.
On Friday evening the Arapuni Orchestra held their dance in the hall. It was indeed unfortunate that it took
place so soon after the epidemic of influenza that attacked the camp. However, about 30 couples bravfed the elements and enjoyed themselves. Hard work by Messrs. Vickerstaff and Edwards, members of the orchestra, had transformed the hall into a veritable golden fairyland. All around the walls and .on the stage were large wattle boughs covered with fluffy yellow blossoms, which shed their per- ! fume through the room. Rarely has the orchestra performed with such life. Perfect time was kept, and all | felt that they must dance. A dainty supper was served in the buffet. The orchestra has given Arapuni many r musical treats, and one is sure that at their next dance everyone will pay them the compliment i they deserve, and the evening will be a great success.
