The speaker further pointed out the 'f company’s great improvement in its dairy produce against fierce proprietary competition. It had also develop- * ed every alternative market to Great ' Britain in order to relieve the pressure there, owing to periodical oversupply. Mr. Fulton emphasised the need for cheap fertilisers. Prices of manures were too high and the company was Investigating the position. Mr. Sterling stated that co-opera-tion if good for a few was good for all. It was also necessary for farmers to be united so they could speak with a collective voice. The meeting expressed itself favourably in regard to the proposal and Jt was decided to take a ballot of suppliers on the matter.
