CLEARING SALES. MR. J. F. VOSPER’S. As iu former years, Mr. J. F. Vosper’s annual sale of high-grade Jersey cattle was very successful. There was a good attendance of buyers, especially from Waihou, Waitoa, Manawaru and Hung-ahunga generally. The best Jersey heifers brought from £l2 to £l4; somewhat backward sorts realised from £9 to £l2, while the lighter heifers fetched from £8 to £9, the average for the sale being £9 18s Cd. All tilings considered, this was a good average for grades, and testifies to -the confidence Mr. Vosper’s judgment in past years, when buying in Taranaki, :Ims inspired in the minds of dairymen. MATAMATA. The Farmers’ Auctioneering Company held its regular stock sale at Matamata on Wednesday. Best fat cows £6 Is to £6 15s, light unfinished’ cows £4 14s to £5 15s, for-ward-conditioned cows £3 to £4 6s, | store cows 39s to £2 6s, boners 20s ( to 30s. I Dairy cows £7 to £9 15s, backward sorts £4 10s to £6 10s, best Jersey heifers up to £B, backward heifers £5 to £5 15s. MORRINSVILLE. " Dalgety and Co.’s Morrinsville Stock sale was held on Wednesday this week, instead of Thursday, on account of the usual day being King's Birthday. There was only a small yarding. The prices are:— Fresh-conditioned cows £3 to £5 10s, stores £2 to £2 10s; Jersey-cross heifer calves £2, Shorthorn 30s. Dairy cows, £4 10s to £8 15s. Sheep: Store lambs 9s to 15s; ewes in lamb 15s. WEEKLY PRICES OF FAT STOCK FOR EXPORT. The New Zealand Meat Producers Board advises that the following prices are being offered, 4th June, 1926:—‘ Canterbury.—Prime woolly lambs, 361 b and under 9id, 371 b to 421 b 82d, 43!b to?, 50!b 78d ; second-quality lambs, 361 b and under 82d, over 36 b - 7Etl..
