One day’s churning has prod :ed 45,4721 b of Butter. In 1886 the first “ Anchor ” Factory was built for Mr. Reynolds at Pukekura. This building (illustrated above) still stands. Just about the same time a great Industrial Exhibition was held in Melbourne. Some samples of “ Anchor ” Butter were sent over to compete with the Australian product. Last year 15 “ Anchor ” Factories churned 50,426,6151 b of Butter, while the Company’s operations generally resulted in a circulation in the Auckland Province of some £5,000,000.
