PUTARURU DOMAIN BOARD.

SANITARY FARM. - Site Approved. At a recent meeting of the Putaruru Domain Board a communication was received from the Matamata County Council in connection with the proposal to utilise a portion of the local domain as a sanitary farm. After some discussion it was decided that the board approve of an area at the eastern end of the domain of about twenty acres being used as a sanitary farm, and that a lease be granted at a peppercorn rental for a term of not more than ten years. Provisions for safeguarding the health of the community, and for the board to resume any portions of the area finished with were also decided on.

The site for the rubbish dump was also approved, with the stipulation that all tins deposited must first of all be crushed, and that all rubbish must be covered with soil at regular periods.
