THE PUTARURU END.
ROAD AND SHEDS. The remetalling of the main roadway through Putaruru town by the Public Works Department on account of the Arapuni work has now reached Ihe Lichfield road—the third side of the rectangle. The shingle put on the first two sides, namely, Princes street and Main street, has now set and seemed to be particular!y-heavy material, holding the heaviest traffic well on top of it even before it had bound down. It will apparently wear but tardily. At the Arapuni railway siding the erection of the two store sheds is proceeding rapidly and by Tuesday the framework of one had been completed and th-a roof and walls—of corrugated iron—put on.
