ARAPUNI POST OFFICE.

PERMANENT OFFICIAL. The appointment of a permanent postmaster at Arapuni has been made, Mr. G. A. Smith, formerly telegraphist at Taupo, having arrived to take the position. This mea/ns that the Arapuni post office is now open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. It is understood that the question of acquiring a site for a permanent post office building at Arapuni is* now being considered by the Postal Department, the postal business at present being transacted in the Public Works Department’s set of offices in ilie permanent village.
