PROPOSAL CARRIED. By A Majority Of 92. The poll on the loan proposal of the Matamata County Council to borrow £201,000 for a comprehensive road improvement scheme and the consolidation of existing loans was held yesterday. There was considerable interest taken and the proposals were carried by a majority of 92, threefifths of the total valid votes beingnecessary to ensure the carrying of the loan.
