A ladies’ match between members of the Putaruru and Tirau clubs was held on the Putaruru golf links on Wednesday of last week. The Putaruru ladies won by three games to two, the details being as follow, the Tirau players being mentioned first in each case:—Miss J. Stewart beat Mrs. Howland, 1 up; Mrs. Craig beat Mrs. Robinson, 4 up; Miss Stewart lost to Mrs. H. Martin, 2 down; Miss Webster lost to Mrs. C. D. Brown, 9 down and eight to play; Mrs. Little lost to Mrs. Nicklin, 10 down and 8 to play.
