PRESENTATION.

~ MR. W. PROCTOR. Mr. W. Proctor, who submitted his resignation as teacher of the Waotu school some considerable time ago, but continued the duties at the special request of the department until a successor could be found, has now been relieved, Mr. Worthington, from Maungaroto, North Auckland, having arrived to take up the position. Prior to his departure from Waotu, Mr. Proctor was entertained bv the Waotu Cricket Club at a social at the school residence. Mr. W. R. Pass presided, and a happy evening was spent. On behalf of the members of the club, Mr. Pass presented Mr. Proctor with a case of Loewe pipes, and on behalf of the directors of the Waotu Timber company with a gold mounted 1 cigarette case and match box. Mr. Proctor has been in charge of the Waotu school for some ten years, lie is remaining in the Putaruru district, having taken up farming on his property on the Waotu road.
