SUNNY PARK DAIRY CO.

THE ANNUAL REPORT. Increase of Supplies. The report to be submitted to the eighth annual meeting of the Sunny Park Co-op. Dairy Co. states:— “ The amount of butter-fat received shows an increase of 24,8771 b over the previous season, and the amount of butter made was 274* tons 16cwt Oqrs 251 b. The amount paid for but-ter-fat to date is Is 4.067 d and a bonus of id for October, 2d for April and Id for May will be distributed on the 18th inst. A further bonus will be paid at a later date. “ New buildings: In January a meeting of shareholders was held at which the directors placed their scheme for' building a nine-vat cheese factory in concrete before the members, without having to sign a fresh joint and several guarantee to the bank. The building is now completed and the installation of the machinery is almost finished. The approximate cost of the above improvements is £SOOO, and, as anticipated and explained to the members when the scheme was adopted this will not allow us to pay the final bonus at the annual meeting as formerly-. I feel sure our shareholders will realise that through building in concrete they will not be faced with heavy repairs in later years as they would have been if a wooden structure had been erected. “ The directors recommend the payment of a dividend of five per cent on the amount paid up on shares at June 30, 1923.” The summary for the season gave the following figures:—7,ol2,s23lb of milk received; 3.57 average percentage of butter-fat in milk; 677,2741 b cream received; 39.38 average percentage of butter-fat in cream; 517,3121 b of butter-fat received (961 b on hand 30/6/24); 615,5771 b butter made; 1.19021 b of butter made from ieach ! poumjd of butteir-fatj 2.8767 d total costs per pound butter-fat; 10.0670 d average price paid per pound butter-fat (not final); 66 total number of suppliers; 2865 cows supplying factory at 31/3/24; 180.561 b average yield per cow.
