FOUNDING A STUD. A Friesian stud is being- founded by Mr. W. Proctor, of Waotu load, Putaruru. In starting- a dairy herd on his farm there this season he has placed at its head a pedigree bull of good butter-fat backing, and a number of pedigree cows and heifers. One heifer, Jeanette Netherland Pieterje, a junior two-year-old, whose pedigree shows butter-fat backing- up to 9001 b, has been placed under semi-official test by Mr. Proctor.
