GOLF.
Last week the ladies of the Putaruru Golf Club continued their bogey competition. The semi-finals and finals have yet to be played. A ladies’ match between the Tirau and Putaruru clubs is to be played on the Putaruru links this week. In the men’s division the final for the junior championship was played, G. L. Martin and J. Gasparich being the competitors. The former won, 3 up and 2 to play. The September monthly medal competition was also held, and was won by G. L. Martin, too, 87—26—71.
