THE PUTARURU SCHOOL.

ENLARGEMENT OF GROUNDS. This month’s meeting of the Pularuru School Committee was held in the school on Monday evening. The members present were:—Messrs. F. C. Barnett (chairman), IT. C. Wheeler (secretary), H. J. W. Scott, N. H. Ashford and C. IT. Woodgate. In reply to the committee the Education Board advised that sections 16 and 17 of the Glenshee estate, at the rear of the school grounds, could now be fenced in as part of the grounds and the lawsoniana hedge removed to the new boundary. The board wished to know whether or not the committee proposed to apply for a grant for the cost of fencing ancl hedge removal. It was arranged that if the board would pay for the requisite material committeemen would do £Tie work.

Accounts amounting to £1 14s lid were passed for payment.
