A REMARKABLE DEFORMITY.

A calf without legs or tail came into the possession of Mrs. E. | McDonald, of Kiwitahi, on Tuesday : evening through the calving of a j Shorthorn cow, the sire being a Jer- ' sey bull. j Where the legs should be are short j stumps a few inches long, with a j similar stump for a tail. At the time of visiting this remarkably-deformed animal was still alive. Apart from the afflictions mentioned the calf appears to be quite normal in health.
