ROCKY DOWNS V. PUTARURU. The following are the individual results between the Rocky Downs and Putaruru ladies’ match, in which the former were successful by 7 games t 0 o:—Mrs. Taylor beat Mrs. Robinson, 5 up and 4; Mrs. Edwards beat Mrs. Nicklin, 5 up and 4; Mrs. Johnston beat Mrs. Brown, 5 up and 4; Miss Robinson beat Mrs. Martin, 3 up and 2; Mrs. Tate beat Mrs. Herring, 5 up and 4; Mrs. Wilson beat Mrs. Gasparich, 5 up and 4; Mrs. Egan beat Mrs. Flyger, 5 up and 4. The eclectic competition held by the Putaruru club during the past week for the president’s prize was won by J. Murphy, while the August monthly medal in the men’s division was won by J. Gasparich. The championship competition in the ladies’ division was won by Mrs. E. F. Rutherford (seniors) and Mrs. G. A. Howland (juniors). A ladies’ foursome match was held last week and was won by Mrs. C. G. Alcom and Mrs. H. Robinson.
