FOR SOUTH AUCKLAND.
i Meeting- Morrinsville
| - The formation of an association of small dairy companies in the South i Auckland district has been under consideration for some time and several meetings of these companies have J been held in Morrinsville to discuss j several matters cf importance affecting the dairy industry. On Thursday of la t wee’: representatives of the companies again met and a body, the Auckland Provincial Dairy Companies’ Association, was formed. A set of aims, objects, rules and regulations were adopted and the following executive appointed:—Messrs. McCausland (Morrinsville), Uotter (Hinuera), Watts (East Tamaki), Mossop (Tokoroa), Bell (Sunny Park), Phillips (Te Avoha), Parsons (Rotorua), Graham (Taupiri) and Leonard (exporters). Mr. J. L. Faulkner (Morrinsville) was elected secretary. Valuable suggestions were made regarding the purchase in bulk of manure, boxes, crates and supplies for distribution to the various companies. . Co-operation between the dairy companies of the province was urged as being essential to the welfare of the companies and it was decided that something- should be done to bring about a better system of uniform ; prices for butter and cheese on the local market and a uniform system of deliveries and discounts. The executive has decided to hold its nert meeting in Auckland during ' the Winter Show week.
