By s.s. Taniwha, which left Auckon Thursday, three equines were shipped for Paeroa, en route to Mataniata. These were a young* Englishbred gelding, “ Great Fun,” by Great £>port, and a three-year-old filly, bweet Friar, also English bred. These belong to Dr. Ring, of Auckland, and m charge of Mr. A. McArthur, who occompanied them on the boat, were being sent to Matamata for training. The third animal was the rustic favourite, Mr. W. C. Ring’s Black-eyed Susan. This mare was returning after fulfilling’ northern engagements..
