HAMILTON. At the Farmers’ Auctioneering Co.’s Hamilton sale on Tuesday there was a small yarding of all classes of stock. Beef showed an improvement on the previous market, sheep remaining about the same, while pigs were in fair demand. Prime fat steers £ll 10s to £ll 15s, hfcavy fat cows £7 to £7 7s 6d, medium £5 7s to £6 7s, light £4 10s to £4 12s 6d, good fresh conditioned 2h year steers £5 5s to £5 7s, fresh-conditioned cows £2 18s, stores 30s to 37s 6d, small 20months Shorthorn heifers, r.w.b., £2 10s, fair Shorthorn heifer calves to 19s 6d, good Shorthorn steer calves 325. Fat ewes 25s to 27s 6d, late shorn forward hoggets 16s, medium woolly 18s, cull ewes 12s. Pigs: Best baconers £3 17s to £4 2s 6d, lighter £3 11s to £3 15s, medium porkers £2 6s to £2 Bs, light £2 to £2 2s 6d, Weaners 12s to 17s.
