TOKOROA LAND.
SETTLERS FROM TARANAKI Seventeen Acquire Farms. It is understood that some 2000 acres of the country at Tokoroa brought into cultivation by the Matarawa Land Company has been sold to 1/ Taranaki farmers in sections of areas of appi*oximately 100 acres each. The new settlers are to take possession in time for next milking season, and their advent is regarded locally as of much importance, as not only does it mean further new settlers for the district but it means establishing a very substantial link between the older dairying districts comprising Taranaki and the newer one of Upper Waikato. From this it is anticipated a more or less continuous influx of young men from Taranaki to make a start here will result, especially as the sections acquired by the 17 mentioned are of the area regarded as the most suitable and most successful for one-man farms in these parts. The Matarawa Land Company will continue developing further areas of its property at Tokoroa. 4
