THE TOWN HALL.
MEETING OF COMMITTEE. This month’s meeting of the Putaruru flail was held on Monday evening. The members present were Messrs. N. H. Ashford (chairman), J. Rolfe (secretary), R. McLeod, C. H. Woodgate, and G. E. Martin. A fairly large number of repairs and some special cleaning work was authorised to complete a virtual renovation of the hall premises for the year. It was also resolved to erect a hitching rail for horses at the rear of the hall. ~ Applications were received from the local lodge of Oddfellows and from the Rugby Union for concession in the rate for the hire of the supper room on account of their fusing it regularly. It was resolved to grant the use of the room at half-rate on a guarantee of a minimum of 20 nights in the year from the lodge and 15 in the season from the union. The secretary reported that he had received about £6O in revenue during the past month, including arrears.
