MOKAI.
With the mild weather and warm rains experienced lately pastures are looking well and young grass is receiving a good start off. The prospect for winter feed is certainly quite good. Several of the local natives, who are supplying cream to the Tuwharetoa butter factory, at Waihi, Tokaanu, report that the milk supply is keeping up well. The cream collected from this end leaves here at 6 a.m., per Mr. G. Moon’s car to Taupo, and from there across the lake by launch to Tokaanu. Several local car owners have made the trip out via the new Atiamuri route lately, and announce that it is certainly a big saving in mileage. The road is not yet completed, but it is possible for cars to get through
now. In a cricket match week end ‘•The Bush” proved too good for * The Mill ” by a few runs.
