HOCKEY.
PUTARURU LADIES’ CLUB. The annual meeting of the Putaruru Ladies’ Hockey Club was held on Wednesday of last week, Miss I. Watkins presiding- over an attendance of same ten members. The financial statement for the past year, as submitted by the retiring- secretary, Mrs. J. Rolfe, .showed a credit of £7 14s Id. The following were elected the officers for the ensuing year: President, Mrs. Ray Brown; vice president, Miss Sanders; chairwoman, Miss I. Watkins; secretary, Miss Byatt; captain, Miss Gwen Ashford. It was resolved to start practice for the season next week.
