POWER BOARD LOAN CARRIED
POLL FOR £150,000. Exceptionally Poor Voting. The Thames Valley Electric Power Board’s proposal to borrow £150,000 for further reticulation work was carried on Wednesday by 471 votes to 154. Little interest appeared to be taken, only 601 ratepayers out of a roll number of 7600 exercising their votes. There are six small returns to come.
