WAOTU BEATS SELWYN. The replay of the match between Waotu and Selwyn in the second round of the Leggatt Shield competition took place at Putaruvu during the week-end. A very keen contest resulted, and it was witnessed by a large number of spectators, the weather being ideal. Waotu won by a margin of two wickets and two runs, Proctor, in Waotu’s second innings, v.Vn two rims were wanted to make Waotu the winners and one man was still in reserve, hitting a boundary for three.
