MAN AG E MEN T C’OH M LTTE E . New Club Affiliates. The initial meeting of the management committee of the Putaruru Rugby Union for tlie forthcoming season was held in the Town hall supper-room on Monday evening. The members present were: Messrs. JBarr Brown and G. E. Martin (executive), H. Leslie (Waotu club), W. Dunlop (Tokoroa club), R. Knapp ! (Selwyn Club), and J. Rolfc (Putaruru club). In addition others members of clubs were present. Mr. J. Barr Brown presided, and he was re-elected chairman of the committee for the present year. Mr. GByers, who was present, was elected secretary of the union for the forthcoming season. The Selwyn club, as a new club, applied for affiliation and on the motion of Mr. Leslie, for the Waotu club, and Mr. Dunlop for the Tokoroa club, this was granted. It was resolved that the presentation of the shields, cups, and caps for last season be made at a social to be held in the Town hall on the first Friday in April, the chairman and secretary to make inquiries as to obtaining the caps and report to a further meeting of the management committee to be held in about a fortnight’s time. Outstanding accounts amounting to about £ll were passed for payment. Mr. Martin tendered his resignation from the executive, nominating Mr. F. Phillips in his stead. The resignation was accepted and Mr. Phillips elected to the vacancy.
