TOKOROA.

On New fear’s Niglit at Tokoroa the advent of 1924 was celebrated by a grand leap year dance in the local hall conducted by the spinsters of the district. The interior of the building had been -liberally decorated, giving bright but cosy appearance. The comiianv which assembled to take part Tas' a very large one and included visitors from as far away as Cambridge. Misses Williams and Golchburv were the M.’sC. and Mrs. Slopei the‘pianist, and they proved very happily that ladies were indeed veiy cap able in conducting- such a function. Supper was another triumph tothe piaved bfgenUemem Messrs. Chandler' Forbes and Conn obliging with accordeon. The dance was altogether a big success and gave cause for congratulation to the ladies
