MO- REPLY TO APPEAL. The secretary of the Putaruru Rugby Union, Mr. F. Phillips, advises that lie has received no reply to the appeal on which the decision of the Putaruru Rugby Union’s competition of the past season depends. He forwarded the To Whetu club’s protest direct to the New Zealand union as supplementary to the. Tokoroa club's appeal, and the New Zealand union replied advising* liim that they considered the matter one for local jurisdiction and were referring it to the Waikato union. The secretary adds that ho is not quite clear as to whether the New Zealand union moans that, the whole position of the double protest should be dealt with finally by the Waikato union, but he has received r.o reply whatever from that body, they ha vineeven neglected to acknowledge replypaid telegrams. Meanwhile, tlm union’s annual presentation dance is held in abeyance and all tlie six affiliated clubs aie naturally disappointed that the matter has not been settled long ago.
