MOTOR FATALITY.

RUN INTO BV TRAIN The Driver Killed.

A Matamata taxi car, driven by Mr. F. Morrow, containing- a passenger named Mr. William Johnson Crowthev, of Remuera, Auckland, was run into by the south-bound express on Tuesday afternoon at Bottomley’s corner, two miles from Matamata. The car, which was a Ford, was carried from the crossing on to the cattle stops and was smashed to fragments. The driver was killed instantaneously. Mr. Crowther had his left leg broken and his lower jaw severely injured. He is making* satisfactory progress but is suffering from the severe shock. This is the second accident that has happened at this crossing, a motor lorry having been smashed recently. Mr. F. Morrow was a brother to Mr. D. Morrow, of Matamata, and an uncle of Mr. W. Morrow, of Tokoroa.
