The President of the Gr.mvenor Art Gallery has communicated with the Premier offering to exhibit in the colony 150 of the Wt picture* in their gallery providing that arrangements can be made for ho ming and displaying exhibits. Sir Robert Stout i in communication with various art association in New /.ealand inviting suggestions as to what can he dotio in the matter. STEAMER ASHORE. The steamer Wailti which went ashore at W airau and is rejmrted to havo her bottom damaged and i- making water. RATAL BOAT ACCIDENT. CitKisrrHUitcH, Nov. 10. A fatal boat accident occurred near Summer. Two young men were in a boat with lour women, when the men eoiuiueuceil lo roll the bout to frighten the women. The boat capsized. The men managed to get ashore, hut the women were drowned.
