POST OFFICE SAVINGS BANKS.

The followin'* aro the regulations for the above Hank :

1. Interest at the mto of 4$ per cent, per annum is given on 1.200 and under ; at the rate of 4 per cent, per annum on sums undor LSOO ; and in the smile proportion for any shorter time on every complete LI deposited, provided that no -interest be allowed on more than LSOO-

2. Depositors in the l’ost-Office Saving 3 Banks have direct Government security for tho prompt payment of their money. 8. A depositor in anv one of the I’ostoffieo Rank* may continue his deposit in any other of such Ranks, and can withdraw his money at that Post-office Bank which is most convenience to him.

4. Tho strictest secrecy is observed with respect to tho Names of the Depositors in Post office Banks, and the amounts of their deposits. 5. Money may be deposited by or on behalf of minors. Depositors over seven years of ago aro treated as persons of full age, but minors under seven years of age cannot withdraw their deposits until they have reached the age of seven. A. Applications to the Chief Offices in each Province on the business of Postoffice Savings Banks, and the replies sent thereto are free from charge or postage.
