POST OFFICE SAVINGS BANKS.

The following are the regulations for the above Bank : 1. Interest at the rato of 4 j per cent, per annum is given on 1.200 and under ; at the rate of 4 per cent, per annum on sums under LSOO ; and iu the same projmrtioii for any shorter time on every Complete LI deposited, provided that no interest be allowed on more than 1,.i002. Depositors in the Post-Office Savings Banks have direct Government security : pay! lent of th.-ir money. 8. A depoHiter in any one of tho Postoffice Banks may continue his deposit in any other of such Banks, anil can withdraw his money at that Post-office Bank which is most convenience to him. 4. The strictest secrecy is observed with respect to the Names of the Depositors in Post-office Bajiks, and tho amounts of their deposits. 6. Money may he deposited by nr on behalf of minora. Depositors over seven years of age are treated as persons of full age, but minors under seven years of age cannot withdraw their deposits until they have reached the ago of seven. C. Applications to tho Chief Offices in each Province on the business of Postoffice Savings Banks, and tho replies sent thereto aro free from charge or postage.
