THE NEW HEBRIDES QUESTION.
Mklholrkk, beptenilier I. Sir Graham Berry, Agent-General in Ismdon, telegraphs to the Government that M. de Freycinet, the French I‘reiuier, refuses to make any concussion with regard to tho transportation cf recidivistes, and states that the laws relating thereto must take their course. Sir Graham Berry further announces that liord Lyons, British Ambassador at Baris, reports that M. ile Freycinet lias expressed annoyance at the representations made to him by the British Government. Sir Graham odd» that Mr Stanhope, Secretary of State for the Colonies, has staled that ha still has hopes of a satisfactory settlement of the New Hebrides question.
