S%nkv. August 28. A most disgraceful scene occurred 1 just outside the Assembly chamber on Tuesday night, just before tiie rising jof the House. Yesterday, on the assembling of the House, all parties apologised, and the matter was allowed to drop. Public opinion is in favour of some action being taken. Considerable hostility is now being shown towards tiie Income Tax Bill. A shocking case of murder and I suicide occurred at Darlington yesterday. Advices from Kimberley received describe the goldfield as a complete failure.
