More Russian Trouble.
London-, August 17. The Standard to-day announces that I owing to the difficulty which has arisen 1 between England and Russia in the set- ' tlement of tiie Afghan frontier question, i the British Commission will he recalled , forthwith from Afghanistan. New fr :n Afghanistan state* that the Af ; -hai - deelar. that they will not yield Kala i Khmnb, a town on the Afghan i frontier to Russia. Russia is heavily fortifying Batouru on the Black Sea, and strong roinforceinents are being despat -hed there. August 18. It is i fficiallv announced that tho Clover merit has not decided upon the immediate withdrawal of the Frontier CotnliiiisMoii. That negotiations will continue with the Russian Government, and it is inti mb d that the Commission should return to India in the autuinn. C’ai-cctta, August 18. It is announced from Simla that the British Commission for the delimitation of tiie Afghan frontier will return to India next month, via Cab’ll.
