At the present time there was no place of public resort, where strangers and settlers could assemble and spend a profitable hour. The establishment of such an institution as the one contemplated would meet this requirement. The adoption of the report was carriod unanimously. The following committee was ap pointed to make the neci'asary arrangements :---Messrs Yeats, Crewe, Koeae, Greville. Hutchen, A. W. Sudoole, Briggs, Reaney, and Black. On the motion of Mr Yeats, seconded by Mr Briggs, a hearty vote of thanks was passed to Mr Wakeman for Ins generous offer. The meeting then terminated.
