It has transpired that when tlio Home Hide resolution was carried nt the Auekjand meeting, and it was resolved to send it by cable to Mr Gladstone, the Orangemen of Auckland sent a cable message to tlio Marquis pt Salisbury, stating that the meeting was not representative of tlio people of Auckland, but merely of the Irish party here.
