OKOHA SPORTS.
(From a Correspondent), The above sports were held at Okoha on Ist of April. The weather was inclined to be stormy, but notwithstanding this the sports were a decided success. There was a good attendance, and all seemed to enjoy themselves. The officers wore as follow Judge, Mr KipaH, Whiro; starter and handicapper. Mr Wateno Hemi; clerk of the course, Mr Humapiri; treasurer and secretary, Mr J. Miller. Following were the results Boy's race, under 14 years, 75yds.Stephem Herm, 1; David Miller, 2 Girls’ race, under 14 years, 75yds.—A. Hocquard, 1; M. Hemi, 2 Boot race, 150yds.-!, Smith, 1; T. Collins, 2 Sack race, 7 5 yds.-\V. Walker, i-'s Hemi, 2 High jump.—H. Hemi, 4ft. nin., 1; w. Waluer, 4ft, Three-legged dace, 75yds.-W. Humphrey and W. Hemi, 1; T. Collins and Tai Collins, 2 E !S' T a T nd -Spoon race, 7 5 yds.~W. Denton, 1 : E, Hemi, 2. Girfs' race, xooyds.-Lena Walker, 1 ■ Mary Hemi, 2. faulting with die Dolc.-W. Walker, Bfl 6m, 1; W. There were several other events on the programme, but as it began to rain heavily they had to be abandoned.
