A CASE OF NECESSITY.
"My son," said a parson to a small boy who was digging, "don't you know that it is a sin to dig on Sunday, except in case of necessity?" "Yes, sir," replied the youngster. "Then, why don't you stop it ?" asked the good man. '"Cause this is a case of necessity,' replied the young philosopher ; "a feller can't fish without bait can he ?"
