The Australians won the Sussex match in one innings and 45 runs. In their match with Kent they had lost two wickets for 99 runs, Murdock making 41, and Barrett, not out, 87. Diphtheria appears to be prevalent in Blenheim.
I Mr Herbert Jones is waking good progress with the additions to the Town Hall, and another week will pretty well bring them to completion.

Another lode of antimony has recently been found in Endeavour Inlet,! only nearer Wedge Point, and the lucky owners are now trenching the ground to ascertain which will be the best way to open it out to the best advantage. The rink was again well attended on Tuesday night, and the novelty of dancing the first figure of the first set. was introduced, and was gone through successfully. The Pelorus Road Board have had nearly £330 out of that amount, but we hardly think that sum is a fair proportion, as we are under the impression that we are entitled to nearly double that amount.
