PROSPECTING.
A meeting of those interested in the above was held at Reader’s hotel on Friday evening last, Mr Reynolds in the chair. Proposed by Mr Reynolds, and seconded by Mr H. Smith, and carried, That the code of rules be ■approved subject to their confirmation at a general meeting of members to be held on Friday, April 11. Moved by Mr H. Smith, and seconded by Mr Ntaite, and carried, That the rules be printed in the Pelorus Guardian, and 500 slips for circulation. Proposed by ,Mr Reynolds, and seconded by Mr H. Smith, and carried, That Mr Venimore be appointed honorary secretary until the 11th, with full power to act. Resolved, That a meeting be held at the Commercial Hotel on the llth April, at 8 p.m., and that the names of Messrs Reynolds and Clarke be added to the general standing committee. . .
