At an adjourned meeting of Harker’F credil.orß yeß'erday, the assignee read a lettei from Mr. Arthur Dc-Finond, stating that h* •H l not owe Harker any money, and that thlOU for £233 bearing his signature was n forgery. Harker being questioned on thi subject, persisted in his assertion that Dea. mond fiigivul thn lOU and owed the amoun' stated. The assignee was directed tn aw Desmond in the R.M. Court for the amount within the Court’s jurisdiction.
The Borough Council entertained their officers at. a corporation supper last nnflit.
