The Soudan War.
[Reuter’s Telegrams.] Cairo, December 6. Detachments of the 19th Hussars and Ist batallion South Staffordshire regiment have arrived at Dongola, and since proceeded to Debbah. A messenger from Khartoum reports that when he left the Mahdir’s followers were only three hour’s march distant from the city. He also states that Gordon steamers have been harassing the enemy and capturing their provisions.
